The Low cost spectrometer for estimation of dry matter in fresh cassava tuber
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this article was to create a low cost spectrometer for estimating dry matter in fresh cassava tubers. And to create an equation for predicting dry matter of cassava. The spectrometer can measure the reflected light in 610 nm, 680 nm, 730 nm, 760 nm, 810 nm and 860 nm wavelengths. The NIR sensor measures the reflected value. The results are show in LCD screen. Methods for creating equations and analyzing dry matter of cassava by Multiple linear regression (MLR) and Pre-treatment methods. Raw spectra with 6 and 4 short wavelengths. r2 is 0.78 that the greatest value. Both of the two wavelengths are greatest, but the 4 wavelengths are less variables. When we know the dry matter we can estimate the starch in fresh cassava. Without to destroy fresh cassava tubers. That to increasing the values of cassava.
