Abstract

The present computational study re-analyzes microbial diversity in young felines using NCBI data to explore site-specific and gender-related patterns. Microbial communities across four anatomical sites-the gut, oropharynx, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), and blood-were examined using the T-BioInfo server. Gut microbiota showed high abundances of Bacteroidaceae and Lachnospiraceae, with gender-based variations, such as increased Bacteroidaceae in females. In the oropharynx, Pasteurellaceae predominated in males, while Moraxellaceae was higher in females. BALF analysis revealed Pseudomonadaceae as the most abundant family, with Sphingobacteriaceae more prevalent in females and Bradyrhizobiaceae in males. Blood samples contained Sphingobacteriaceae and Bradyrhizobiaceae, with notable gender differences: Sphingobacteriaceae was more abundant in females, and Bacteroidaceae was exclusive to female samples. These findings emphasize individual and gender-based microbiota diversity across body sites, highlighting the importance of such variations for future research and veterinary care.
