Suranaree Journal of Science and Technology (SJST) is a bimonthly official publication of the Suranaree University of Technology. SJST is a peer-reviewed open-access journal ranked in Tier 1 by the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) since 2015. Volume 1 - 10 (1994 - 2003) are available only in hard copy. You may request a copy from the Editorial Office. Articles since volume 11 (2004) are available online.  

The SJST accepts the manuscripts in the following areas:

Types of Contributions
1.  Research papers
 - original full-length research papers which have not been published previously.
2.  Review articles - will be accepted in areas of topical interest, and will normally focus on literature published over the previous five years.
3. Short communications - Short communications of up to 3000 words, describing work that may be of a preliminary nature but which merits immediate publication.

Indexing:
Suranaree J. Sci. Technol. has been indexed in TCI (since 2010), ACI (ASEAN Citation Index, since 2014), EBSCO (since 2009), Web of Science: Emerging Sources (since 2017), Scopus (since 2018).

To keep high standard and publication ethics of the Journal, the editorial board has employed the application of the Turnitin Program to all submitted manuscripts for the plagiarism issues.

Publication Frequency: 
The Suranaree Journal of Science and Technology publishes six issues annually, with the following bimonthly schedule: January-February, March-April, May-June, July-August, September-October, and November-December.

Language:
Manuscripts submitted to the Suranaree Journal of Science and Technology must be written in English, with proper grammar and accurate spelling. It is strongly recommended that manuscripts be reviewed by a native English speaker prior to submission to ensure clarity and correctness.

Publication and Access Charges:
There are no charges to submit and publish all types of articles. Full articles in pdf format can be downloaded freely from the journal website.

Open Access Policy:
All articles published in the Suranaree Journal of Science and Technology are open access and freely accessible for reading, downloading, and sharing. However, proper citation is required for any reproduction or public distribution of these articles in any medium.

Copyright and Licensing:
Prospective authors should be aware that all article submissions must be original and be accompanied by the consent form listing all named authors. Additionally, authors must obtain official permission to include texts, figures, data, or any other information attributable to others.

Upon submitting the article, the authors grant the right to the Suranaree Journal of Science and Technology (SJST) to publish the article without any restrictions. However, the authors retain the copyright to their work, and the right to reproduce, distribute, and display their work. Authors can use the articles in their academic work or share them with their students while the SJST controls how the articles are disseminated.

Ownership and Management:
The Suranaree Journal of Science and Technology is published by the Institute of Research and Development at Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand, with financial support provided by the university. The journal’s operation is led by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor-in-Chief, working closely with the editorial team and staff. This funding ensures that the journal maintains high standards of publishing, and a thorough peer-review process, and remains freely accessible to researchers globally. The Suranaree University of Technology is dedicated to fostering innovation and scientific advancement, and its support of this journal helps promote the exchange of knowledge and encourages collaborations both within Thailand and internationally.

Advertising:
In alignment with its policy, the journal does not accept any form of advertisement funding. Relevant information about academic conferences, journal updates, or research projects may be shared on the journal’s official website when deemed appropriate. The inclusion of such content does not compromise the journal’s ethical principles.

Direct Marketing:
The journal does not engage in direct marketing practices. Announcements, such as calls for papers or journal promotions, are made available through official channels including the journal’s website, social media, or affiliated organizations. These communications adhere to ethical guidelines and respect individual privacy.

Meaning of “Suranaree”
Suranaree is from the name of Thao Suranaree, also spelled Thao Suranari (1771–1852) who was the wife of the deputy governor of Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat). She is credited as the leader who saved the city from invaders in 1826. Several important places in this region are named after her including district name, university, college, school, building, etc. Her monument is one of tourist attractions in Nakhon Ratchasima.
