PUBLIC URBAN PARK AREA DEMAND ESTIMATION USING FUZZY INFERENCE AND GIS

This article delivers the results of the optimum public urban park (PUP) area demand using an integrated geographic information system (GIS) and fuzzy inference systems (FISs) for every village in Bogor Municipality, Indonesia. Three spatial criteria, namely population density, accessibility, and PUP policy demand from the villages, acquired using the GIS were input into the FISs as antecedents while the visit density served as a consequent in both the Mamdani and Sugeno FISs. The optimum PUP area demand of each village was then estimated from the optimized visit density obtained from each FIS. The agreement estimation between the PUP area demand and feasible land use and land cover (of each village revealed that Mamdani provided the most optimum PUP area demand with a total area of 0.13 km2.
