IMPROVING SEMANTICS OF QUERY BASED ON ONTOLOGY AND LOCAL ANALYSIS IN VIETNAMESE INFORMATION RETRIEVAL

The results from Information Retrieval (IR) having the same domain with a user's query are to decrease time in selecting useful information. However, IR sometimes returns the results which are not suitable for users. One of the reasons to affect the returned results ofIR is the user’s query without semantics. To improve these results of IR, the paper proposesa method combining ontology and local analysis technique to add semantics into originalquery.
