EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF LOGISTICS FACTORS TO THE BUSINESS SUCCESS OF THE FIRMS IN THE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY IN THAILAND

The Electrical and Electronics Industry in Thailand is very important for Thailand’seconomy and exportation to other countries. It contributes nearly 5% of Gross Domestic Product(GDP). This study is an attempt to test a framework that looks into how relationships in logisticsfactors contribute to the success of firms in the Electrical and Electronics Industry in Thailand. Itevaluates both internal and external logistics factors that significantly contribute to the firms’business performance. Questionnaires are used as a tool to collect data and Structural EquationModeling (SEM) was used to analyze relationships among these factors. Data were collected fromthe 304 firms in the Electrical and Electronics Industry in Thailand. The results provideimplications for managers who seek to improve their supply chain operations with limited resourcesand budgets.
