Abstract
To date, the importance of R&D in the fields of agriculture, biotechnology and food technology needs not be overstressed. For example in Hungary, the National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre (NARIC) founded by the government’s Act 1476 on January 1, 2014 has under its umbrella 13 research institutes in the variegated field of agriculture and food sciences. Its largest institute, the NARIC Agricultural Biotechnology Institute (ABC) was founded by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1989. It is widely recognized that there are so many living laboratories like this one in all regions of the world for us to learn and essentially benefit from experience sharing.
