Journal of Current Science and Technology (JCST) is an international and peer-reviewed journal published triannually. JCST has been indexed in the Thai-Journal Citation Index TCI Tier 1, the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) since 2013, and in Scopus since 2018-present.

Aims and Scope
The journal aims at presenting up-to-date scientific achievement with high creativity and great significance in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research, engineering, science and health sciences. JCST invites scholars, researchers, professionals and academics to publish manuscripts that have not been previously published in any journal. The authors can submit the manuscripts covering the following areas:
1. Biological sciences
Agricultures, Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental sciences, Food technology, Microbiology, Plant sciences.
2. Engineering and Technology
Aviation maintenance engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Environmental engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics, Railway system engineering. Computer Sciences, Computing, Information Technology.
3. Health sciences
Biochemistry, Biomedical sciences, Biotechnology & Food, Medical sciences, Optometry, Oriental medicine, Pharmaceutical sciences, Public health
4. Physical sciences
Chemistry, Computer sciences, Material sciences, and Physics.
Types of Articles
The Journal accepts the following types of articles:
1. Research article: A research article is a regular article which aims to present new findings and significant experimental results or interpretations.
2. Review article: A review article summarizes topics of general interest to audiences, provides a critical and constructive analysis of existing published literature in a field. The review article outlines future directions of research within the journal scope.
3. Notes or Short Communications: Manuscripts in this category should be concise but definitive. A note or a short communication is a short article which aims to present especially new findings that require fast publication.
4. Innovations: An innovation is an article which aims to present creative arts and designs, procedures or devices.
5. Special lectures from Conferences: A special lecture from a Conference is an unpublished keynote or special lecture in the Conference with no Proceedings in English language in recent years can be occasionally invited to get published in the journal.
All the articles must be written in English. If English is not the author’s native language, they are asked to have a native-English colleague or specialist to check and edit their article before the submission.
Publication Frequency
JCST publishes four issues per year (Start from 2025):
No. 1, January-March; No. 2, April-June, No. 3, July-September, and No.4, October - December.
Language
JCST requires that all articles be written in the English language. Clear and concise language and adherence to proper grammar and spelling are encouraged.
Content Registration
Starting from Volume 14(1) 2024, JCST assigns digital object identifiers (DOIs) to all articles via CrossRef, including retroactively applying DOIs to previously published articles. This ensures richer metadata, making the content more discoverable and accessible. The metadata is also shared across various platforms, aiding in citation tracking, crediting the work, monitoring research impact, and reporting on funding outcomes.
Publication Charges (APC)
From September 1, 2022 onwards, there will be a submission (article processing and reviewing) fee for manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Current Science and Technology (JCST) for article processing.
Step Payment for Review process
The article review process fee is USD 100.00 (International bank transfer), or 3,000 Thai Baht (Domestic bank transfer in Thailand), per article.
If the manuscript gets accepted for publication in the journal, the publication fee is required.

The publication fee is USD 250.00 (International bank transfer), or 7,500 Thai Baht (Domestic bank transfer in Thailand), per article.

Open Access Policy
The journal aims to promote open access to scientific research and to make research accessible to a broader audience. JCST is an open-access journal, meaning all published articles are freely available online to anyone, anywhere in the world.
Journal History
Journal of Current Science and Technology (JCST) was changed from Rangsit Journal of Arts and Sciences (RJAS). The first issue of JCST, Vol. 8 No. 1, was launched in print (ISSN 2630-0583) and online (ISSN 2630-0656) on the 29th of June 2018. In 2021 onward, each issue of JCST is launched on line (eISSN 2630-0656) only.
Ownership and Management/ Publisher
The journal is published by the Research Institute of Rangsit University, Thailand. Its management is overseen by the Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors, in consultation and with approval from the editorial board members, with documentation and administrative tasks handled by the editorial staff.

Revenue Sources
The JCST journal is partially supported by funding from Rangsit University, which covers operational costs such as staff salaries, software licensing (including the journal management system and DOI management tools), and other necessary systems. However, costs related to the peer review process (double-blind review) and English language editing are borne by the article authors.

JCST is committed to protecting author rights and ensuring proper dissemination of research. Authors retain copyright and articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), enabling sharing, adaptation, and proper attribution.
JCST also supports posting articles on third-party repositories, in line with institutional and funding requirements.
