Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by any other journals.
  • The submission file must be prepared using EJ's template. Manuscripts that do not follow our journal template will be immediately declined.
  • The submitted manuscript must be in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format (all LaTeX source files must be compressed into a single .zip file) with a complete list of authors.
  • The manuscript must have at least 9 double-columned pages in length with more than 20 references.
  • Full names and email addresses of at least three potential reviewers are provided during the submission process.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should report not only original theoretical and/or experimental work but also its current industrial and professional relevance. Papers that have been published or under consideration elsewhere and/or copyrighted will not be considered for the publication in EJ. Where necessary, exceptions to this rule may be made when a particular manuscript has only appeared in conference proceedings with abstracts or has only had limited distributions. Authors of such manuscripts must report this issue in the submission process. Manuscripts with less than 8 double-columned pages or 20 references will be declined and not considered for publication.

Manuscript Preparation
All manuscripts submitted for review must be written in English. Manuscripts should contain names, affiliations, e-mail addresses of all the authors, an abstract of 150 - 200 words, and a list of not more than five keywords. Sections and sub-sections of the paper should be numbered serially. All figures and tables must have individual titles and appear where they fit most into the text material to which they refer. Materials published elsewhere and used in the manuscripts should be referenced rather than paraphrased or reproduced. Proofs, calculations and derivation that detail the flow of thought and reading should be placed in Appendix. References should be arranged by the order in which they appear in the text. Only the references that are cited in the text should be added to the reference list. Authors should follow the referencing format provided in the journal template.

Journal Template
All manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word or LaTex formats and submitted online. All papers submitted to EJ are checked for compliance before being sent for review. The template for manuscript preparation must be strictly followed and can be downloaded here:

Whenever necessary, authors should have company clearance before submitting their papers to EJ. EJ assumes that all submitted manuscripts do not contain proprietary or classified materials protected or unprotected by patents of any form. The authors are completely responsible (not EJ nor its Editorial Board) for the technical contents and any proprietary protections of their papers. From April 2017, authors who submit their papers to EJ are required to accept the copyright transfer agreement electronically at the first step of the submission process.

Publication Charge
No publication charge of any kind is required for authors to publish their work in Engineering Journal.
